Discovering ourselves through adversity

Hiking and backpacking can be difficult at times. Climbing that next ridge, or trying to make the last two miles before dark can be daunting. By overcoming these obstacles and digging deep, we learn a lot about ourselves and become comfortable with adversity. This lesson can translate into other areas of our lives, allowing us to keep moving forward no matter what.

Get lost and find yourself along the way

Take the lessons learned on the trails into your everyday life. Learn to leave the nonessential things behind and discover who you really are amidst the chaos of everyday life. Nature can be a powerful mirror and miraculous healer. Don’t be afraid to challenge yourself. You might be surprised once you learn what you’ve been capable of all along.

Hiking and backpacking is an integral part of my physical and mental health. By hitting the trails as often as I can, it relieves stress and anxiety from my everyday life.

Hiker and Backpacker

I’ve only been on a few small hikes, but I can’t wait to do some longer trails. Already I can feel the difference in my body and state of mind. I can’t believe it took me this long to discover hiking!

Nathan May

Beginning Hiker

I started hiking as a child, taking on longer and more difficult challenges as I grew older. Today, there isn’t a trail too difficult for me to tackle. I love to challenge myself each and every time.
